About
Hi, thanks for reading.
This blog is about film -- reviews, festival experiences, filmmaking, things like that.
I live in Seattle, WA, so my festival coverage is mainly about SIFF and VIFF, at least until I am independently wealthy.
I keep a running log of films that I watch, and generally get a little obsessive about saving ticket stubs. Some of my movie viewing preferences can be inferred from the log, but I also tend to take chances on things that I've previously hated (or get dragged to them), as sort of a challenge.
I am a graduate of the UW Extension Independent Filmmaking program and co-directed the documentary The Seattle Freeze, as well as several other goofy short films that will hopefully never see the light of day. I'd love to collaborate with a screenwriter for some narrative short ideas -- write me if you are interested. I own a Canon HV20 and hope to post a new movie or two once I get my act together and actually make one.
